FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons defensive back A.J. Terrell (concussion) and wide receiver Russell Gage (ankle) did not practice Thursday, according to the team’s official injury report.

Terrell is in the concussion protocol, and Gage suffered an ankle injury against the Bucs. He returned to action, but appeared to aggravate the injury.

T.J. Green is the backup left cornerback, and Olamide Zaccheaus is behind Gage on the Falcons’ official depth chart.

Wide receiver Frank Darby (calf) is close to returning, but did not practice.

The Falcons also are hoping that cornerback Kendall Sheffield (undisclosed injury) and left guard Josh Andrews (broken hand) will return from injured reserve soon.

Also, the Falcons signed defensive tackle Anthony Rush to the practice squad and placed running back Caleb Huntley, who played at Locust Grove High, on injured reserve.
