The Falcons Week 17 game at the Commanders will be played Dec. 29 and has been flexed to NBC’s ‘Sunday Night Football,’ the NFL announced Tuesday.

A date for the Falcons at the Commanders game had not be set as it could have been played Saturday or Sunday in the league’s original schedule. The Commanders and Falcons remain alive in hunt for a playoff spot in the NFC.

The game will replace the original scheduled Sunday night game between the Dolphins and Browns.
