Braves leftfielder Eddie Rosario was named National League player of the week Monday following one of the best stretches of his career.

Rosario hit .524 (11-for-21) with three home runs and 10 RBI last week, highlighted by the 4-for-4 effort against San Francisco last Saturday. His go-ahead, two-run homer in the eighth led to Braves to a 6-5 victory.

This is the first player of the week award for Rosario since 2017. Last week’s offensive outburst was reminiscent of the effort which landed Rosario MVP honors in the 2021 National League Championship Series win over the Dodgers.
