The 2018 Arthur Ashe Courage Award will be given to the athletes who spoke out against former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State team doctor Larry Nassar, ESPN announced Wednesday.

Nassar, 54, was sentenced to 60 years in federal prison for child pornography charges before being sentenced 40-to-125 years in Michigan’s Eaton County and 40-to-175 years in Michigan’s Ingham County for 10 total counts of sexual misconduct.

During Nassar's Eaton County sentencing, over 150 survivors including came forward including former USA Gymnasts Aly Raisman and Jordyn Wieber to give testimony against Nassar.

Nassar, 54, was also sentenced to an additional 40-to 175-year sentence in Michigan’s Ingham County for 10 total counts of sexual misconduct.

The 2018 ESPYS will be held on July 18 and broadcast on ESPN.
