Last week: Beat Kell 40-10. Brenton James was 10-of-13 passing for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Last week: Beat Jones County 52-14. AJC Super 11 pick Marquis Fennell had eight receptions for 143 yards and two touchdowns, rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown on nine carries and returned a punt for a touchdown. Deron Foster rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Tripp Perry was 9-of-12 passing for 158 yards and two touchdowns. Lamar Thomas was 5-of-8 passing for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Last week: Beat Douglas County 34-27. Josiah Frazier threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Braylon Miller on a third-and-15 with 20 seconds left, tying the game, but a missed extra point sent it to overtime. Frazier hit Devin Barber for an 8-yard TD pass in the second overtime. Douglas County reached Newton’s 1-yard line, but the drive blew up, and Miller got a sack on the game’s final play after a bobbled snap. Miller had 88 yards from scrimmage on eight touches, scored two touchdowns, had seven tackles and forced a fumble. Last week: Beat Colquitt County 57-21. Aidan McPherson, an all-state player and transfer from Rome, rushed for 152 yards and five touchdowns on 10 carries and was 10-of-16 passing for 150 yards and a touchdown. Roland Waldrop was 10-of-12 passing for 124 yards. Jabari Watkins, who is committed to Arkansas, had five receptions for 82 yards. Thomas County Central led 37-7 at halftime. Last week: Beat North Cobb 30-29. Derrick Baker threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Grant Haviland with 12 seconds left and scored the winning 2-point conversion. Milton’s winning drive took 2 minutes and covered 80 yards on seven plays. Zach Belyeu gave North Cobb a 29-22 lead with 2:12 left on a 5-yard run and finished with 234 rushing yards. Baker was 14-of-24 passing for 189 yards. Every play in the winning drive was a Baker pass or run. Last week: Beat Parkview 49-14. Tre Smith returned an interception 77 yards for a touchdown to give Coffee a 20-0 lead in the final minute of the first half. Last week: Beat Hiram 48-0. Cartersville led 48-0 at halftime. Harris Turner was 8-of-10 passing for 131 yards and three touchdowns. Cartersville was 15-of-17 passing for 225 yards as a team. Last week: Beat Woodward Academy 10-3. Tyler Hare intercepted a pass at the Woodward Academy 31 yard line with four minutes left, and Dylan Chiock scored on a 2-yard run with 51 seconds left after a five-play drive. The only previous points were field goals by preseason all-state kickers Tyler Baradel of Marist (43 yards) and Afton Rowles of Woodward (23) in the first half. Woodward’s score came on a minus-1 yard drive after a Marist fumble. Marist led 167-161 in total yards. Hayes Rollauer rushed for a team-leading 53 yards and was 0-for-2 passing, as Marist got all its yards on the ground. Hare, Jake McLaren and Hunter Williams intercepted passes. Last week: Beat Decatur 44-0. Blessed Trinity led 37-0 at halftime and held Decatur to four first downs and 52 total yards (minus-12 rushing). Last week: Beat Newnan 28-10. Peyton Davis rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. DeAnthony Stewart rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown on six carries and caught a 59-yard touchdown pass. Last week: Beat Oconee County 42-21. North Oconee trailed 14-7 at halftime but blocked a punt and returned two interceptions for touchdowns (by Eli Fincher and Kelvin Millington) in the second half. Joby McCannon rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. North Oconee trailed 334-248 in total yards but ran only 35 plays from scrimmage to Oconee County’s 75. Last week: Beat M.L. King 37-8. AJ Tillman rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Armani Myco had five receptions for 87 yards and a touchdown. Last week: Beat Veterans 34-23. Warner Robins trailed 17-7 in the first half and didn’t lead until Chandler Dyson’s 43-yard run for a 20-17 edge with 10:09 left. Dyson rushed for 105 yards. X’Zavier Cannon had 125 all-purpose yards. Warner Robins held Veterans to less than 125 yards of total offense. EJ Adeside had three tackles for loss and scored on a 44-yard reception. Last week: Lost to Calhoun 21-19. After trailing 21-0 at halftime, Jefferson got within 21-19 on Boone Horn’s 42-yard pass to Austen Kitchings with 1:28 left but couldn’t get into scoring position on its final drive. Horn was 18-of-38 passing for 238 yards and a touchdown and scored Jefferson’s other two touchdowns. Kitchings had nine receptions for 161 yards. Next: Friday vs. Westside, South Carolina (1-0)

Last week: Lost to Toombs County 58-21. Benedictine was out of it early against Class 3A’s new No. 1 team. First-year starter Omari Burse scored two touchdowns and threw a 50-yard TD pass to Eron Mallard but was 4-of-14 passing for 111 yards in the game, according to the Savannah Morning News. “I wouldn’t have thought in a million years they would beat us like that,” Benedictine coach Danny Britt told the newspaper’s Dennis Knight. Last week: Beat Bainbridge 22-21. Isaiah White threw a 5-yard TD pass to Moo McKoy on fourth down with less than five minutes left, then hit McKoy on a similar play for a 2-point conversion and a 22-21 lead. Ware County’s place kicker was injured earlier in the fourth quarter, promoting the decision to go for two. Bainbridge, a 24-point underdog under new coach Jamie DuBose, did not seriously threaten after that. McKoy rushed for a team-leading 49 yards and a touchdown. Last week: Beat Thomasville 36-14. Cairo expanded an 8-0 halftime lead to 22-0 late in the third quarter and held Thomasville to 137 total yards and six first downs. La’Derrick Perkins rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns on five carries and had four receptions for 68 yards. Xavier Teal rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Last week: Beat Jefferson 21-19. Calhoun took a 21-0 lead in the first half and never let Jefferson in scoring position for a go-ahead score. Richard Clavino blocked an extra point that forced Jefferson to need a field goal or better to win late, and Drew Huff sealed the victory with an interception at midfield in the final minute. Jahlil Roderique was 13-of-15 passing for 124 yards and two touchdowns, both to Zalen Green, an East Carolina-committed wide receiver who is the reigning Class 3A champion in the 100 and 200 meters. Green scored a third touchdown on an 84-yard punt return that gave Douglass a 20-0 lead in the third quarter. Last week: Lost to Cook 36-35. Swainsboro rallied from a 21-7 halftime deficit and took a 35-28 lead in overtime on Ja’Bios Smith’s 2-yard run. Cook won by scoring a touchdown and 2-point conversion on its overtime possession. Swainsboro tied the game 28-28 late in the fourth quarter on a double pass to Smith, a 4-star prospect committed to Florida.
