2018 Rose Bowl had third-largest cable audience, according to Nielson

The 2018 Rose Bowl, featuring Georgia and Oklahoma, was the third-largest cable audience ever reported, according to the Nielson out-of-home and complete streaming audience report.

The Nielson report that came out less than 24 hours after the game reported 26,826,000 viewers. After configuring the out-of-home and streaming services, that number increased to 28,311,000 viewers.
The National Championship game, featuring Georgia and Alabama, had 29,932,000 viewers, up from the initial report of 28,443,000 viewers on Jan. 2.
