10th Street closed for AJC Peachtree Road Race

Fencing is moved down 10th street Thursday as workers begin assembling the finish line area for the AJC Peachtree Road Race.

About 55,000 runners are expected for the July 4 AJC Peachtree Road Race. Workers started building the finish line area Thursday morning.

Emily Bloss, who runs 4 miles, four to five times a week in Piedmont Park, came across a new site Thursday - a tent that will be used for Saturday's AJC Peachtree Road Race. Workers began assembling the finish line area Thursday. The Atlanta Track club had volunteers and contractors out in force Thursday preparing fencing, tents and moving equipment in place.
