Zoo Atlanta and Fernbank Museum both closed early Friday due to the chance of another Snowmageddon.

The zoo gates closed at 11 a.m. and the grounds closed at noon.

Fernbank Museum closed at 2 p.m. and announced a late opening at 11 a.m. for Saturday, Jan. 23 activities, including a planned Pirate Day.

Zoo Atlanta and Fernbank Museum recommended visitors check their websites for any changes in the schedule.
