Here are the 10 AJC.com stories readers clicked on the most in 2014 -- through social media. (Think of this as a complement to last week's list of our most-read stories, period.)

Facebook, Twitter and all the rest, like a feedback loop, love to capture and enhance noise. And this top 10 reflects a snapshot of moments that seized the Atlanta spotlight, those news stories that enlightened, enraged or entertained; and sometimes more than one of those at once.

This includes two paralyzing winter storms, a Justin Bieber hoax and several stories about children -- some heartbreaking, some heartwarming. Facebook itself even makes an appearance.

The AJC has been at the center of this coverage as the city's most comprehensive news organization. And on social media, readers were as hungry as ever for news and information.
