An autopsy completed on a central Georgia man confirmed he died after being attacked by dogs.

Lee Becham, 76, died Feb. 23 at his Roberta, Georgia, home.

Sheriff Lewis S. Walker of the Crawford Sheriff's Office made the confirmation in a news release, according to WMAZ. He said the preliminary cause of death was "traumatic injuries due to dog attack." Becham had bite marks on his body.

Neighbors claimed they saw a group of pitbull-like dogs around the neighborhood, but it’s not clear if those were the ones that attacked Becham.

According to an online obituary, Becham continued to work until his death.

“He loved the nature of outdoors, working in his yard, and riding his Harley Davidson,” the obituary read.

The three dogs who are thought to have attacked Becham have been removed from their owners, WMAZ reported.

The incident is still under investigation by officials, Walker said. No one has been charged in the case.
