This is just too cute.
An orphaned baby kangaroo has taken comfort in his new friend: a stuffed teddy bear. Tim Beshara tweeted the adorable photo this week of Doodlebug cuddling his golden teddy. Beshara said Doodlebug's wildlife caretaker mother sent the picture to him from her home in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia.
According to the Daily Mail, Beshara's mother, Gillian, found Doodlebug after he was abandoned as a newborn.
"He may have fallen out of his mother's pouch, or his mother may have died," Beshara said. "He was a couple of months old when he was passed onto my mother's wildlife company, WIRES."
Gillian nursed the joey back to health and found that he really liked the teddy bears that she had around her yard.
Many news outlets have identified Doodlebug as a wallaby, but Gillian said he is an eastern-grey kangaroo.
The photo has taken the Internet by storm, being shared thousands of times on social media.
