WalletHub, a personal finance site, recently released its annual "Most Diverse Cities in the U.S." list, the final installment of its diversity series, which includes studies on the socioeconomic, cultural and economic multiplicities across the country.

The publication’s experts defined diverse locations as areas with the most mixed demographics across five major categories: socioeconomic, cultural, economic, household and religious. They then compared the 501 most populous cities in the United States across the five dimensions using 13 metrics.

Analysts also used the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index method, “which is a commonly accepted measure of market concentration that also works effectively as a general-purpose measure of diversity (e.g., race/ethnicity, occupations, languages, nationalities)” they wrote.

After analyzing the results, they found that Jersey City and Houston took first and second place, respectively, but Sandy Springs wasn’t too far behind at No. 14. Roswell and Johns Creek also made the top 30 at No. 23 and No. 24, respectively. Here’s a breakdown of the rankings.
