Strawberry margaritas at Applebee’s are only $1 in April

Cheers! Applebee’s is selling strawberry margaritas for only $1 throughout the month of April.

The restaurant chain announced the news on April Fool’s Day and revealed its sweetening the deal by adding a Twizzler straw to each drink.

"Seriously, we're not joking," the press release read.

Patrick Kirk, vice president of beverage innovation at Applebee’s, said the company wants to provide fun, memorable experiences, and “sippin’ on a STRAWBERRY DOLLARITA through a strawberry-flavored TWIZZLERS straw is just about the coolest and most exciting way to drink a margarita.”

The beverage, served on the rocks, is made with tequila, strawberry and margarita mix.
