A baby panda was born at a “panda daycare center” in China and it is leading to rare pictures and something even more unusual.
The Chengdu Research Base for Giant Panda Breeding got so excited, they wrote a short romantic description of how the mother, Meng Meng, met her mate, Meilan. The Telegraph reports the unnamed cub spurred more than 8 million visitors to the center's website.
Pandas come into the world no bigger than a stick of butter before blossoming to as much as 330 pounds when full grown.
Giant pandas are considered an endangered species with around 1,800 left around the world.
