Nipsey Hussle fans want Crayola to rename crayon in late rapper’s honor

The social media discussion began earlier this week when Twitter users started quoting a tweet about Crayola's 2017 color-naming campaign with new suggestions.

Several, including NBA star LeBron James, proposed Hussle-specific ideas, such as “Nipsey Blue” and “The Marathon Continues.” The latter is the title of one of Hussle’s mixtapes.

Others recommended portions of the proceeds from crayon purchases go toward inner city STEM programs for children.

And a few pointed out the crayon had already been named  “Bluetiful,” and there were other ways to pay tribute to the artist.
