The entrepreneur thought of the idea after taking a DIY bath products class. After a few sessions, she was hooked and determined to start her own company.

First came the name: Lani Boo Bath. It derived from the “Lani Boo” nickname her grandmother had given her.

Next, the funds to make her soaps and bath bombs rolled in, thanks to her parents. After that it was time for some social media promotion. And pretty soon, her family members, neighbors and church friends turned into her customers.

As word continued to spread, Jones found herself shipping her products all over the country.

"The community has been amazing! People always say how proud they are of me and how I am inspiring them and how they are considering their children's ideas more," Jones told Atlanta Black Star. "People in my community have reached out to buy from me because they know I am a young person and that means a lot to me."
