The model and entrepreneur will reportedly make her acting debut during the second season of the show. She will play a freshman at the series’ fictional school, California University. Her character is described as “a sweet soul with a soft spoken and sincere vulnerability,” according to HuffPost.
Woods, 21, will appear in one episode, which is set to air July 24.
The star shared her excitement on Instagram by posting a photo of her and her cast mates on set.
“I’ve been waiting to share this with you guys but I am SO excited to guest star on this season of #grownish,” she wrote in the caption. “This was the first role I’ve ever booked and I was nervous at first but I got past that and had the best time.”
Woods made headlines in February when she was embroiled in a cheating scandal that involved Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian, who is the sister of Woods’ friend Kylie Jenner.
On an episode of Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Red Table Talk,” she addressed rumors that she and Thompson were intimate while he was in a relationship with Kardashian. While Woods denied allegations she “made out” with the NBA player, she admitted he kissed her and said she took “full responsibility” for her role.
