A video released by the Islamic State terror group claims that U.S. aid worker Peter Kassig has been beheaded, The Associated Press reported early Sunday.
Kassig, 26, was in Syria providing medical aid when he was captured in 2013.
The 16-minute video, which we will not show or link to, also reportedly showed the beheadings of several Syrian soldiers.
Social media users immediately took to Twitter to share their condolences. Scroll down to see what they had to say.
