Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley, a Republican, issued the following statement Sunday:

No Syrian refugees have come to Alabama so far, according to a press release from Bentley's office.
Earlier in the day, Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder, also a Republican, said the state is postponing efforts to admit Syrian refugees until the federal government reviews its security procedures, the Detroit Free Press reported.
