The Woodstock Police Department K9 Unit was honored during the fifth annual National Narcotic Detector Dog Conference held recently in Perry, Georgia.

Sergeant Shane Collie and K9 Mann won second place in the explosive detection category. Officer Jake Cash and K9 Debo took first place in obedience and third place in the narcotics detection. Fifty teams attended from throughout the southeast.

The annual conference is a training and certification exercise for K9s and their handlers, who have expertise in narcotics and explosive detection and tracking/trailing.
