An 81-year-old Cherokee County man reported missing was found safe Monday night at his home.

Earlier Monday, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help in finding Howard Hutton, who last spoke to family members Saturday. Deputies were asked to check Hutton’s home Monday morning, but were unable to locate him, according to Lt. Jay Baker.

Hutton returned to his home late Monday, Baker said. No further details were released.
