A young woman attempted suicide Saturday morning by jumping from the 15th floor of a Dunwoody hotel, according to the Dunwoody Police Department.

The woman, who was not identified by police, jumped from an exterior balcony of the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia.

She was unconscious but still alive when transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, according to Sgt. Curtis Clifton. Police were called to the scene at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday.

The woman, estimated to be in her 20s, was not a guest at the hotel. She apparently came to the hotel to attempt suicide, police said. The 15th floor is the top floor of the Crowne Plaza.

Dunwoody police said spectators at the hotel viewed the unconscious woman after the fall took place.
