After nearly five months on the run, the suspect in a June homicide is in custody, Douglasville police said Thursday.

Three weeks ago, the police department announced a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of 39-year-old Kaiysa Nadinsa Robinson. Investigators believed she had left the state and may have been in the New York area.

Details about where Robinson was found were not released Thursday. But Douglasville police updated a wanted poster with two words: In Custody.

Shortly before 11 a.m. on June 12, Douglasville officers were called to the Millwood Park Apartments on Duralee Lane after a report of a domestic dispute. There, they found Jarmichael Jermoine Brown shot to death inside Robinson’s apartment, according to police. Brown was 31 and lived in Powder Springs.

According to a GoFundMe page created after Brown’s death, he was the oldest of four siblings.

“He would have done anything to keep his siblings safe and did anything he could do to keep us together after our mom passed away in 2009,” a sister wrote on the page.
