A photo promising a $1 burger at Whataburger has been making the rounds across social media.

According to the flyer, the popular fast-food restaurant across the southeast and the southwest is celebrating Dollar Burger Day March 29 at all of its hundreds of locations.

But KZTV reported the fast-food chain tweeted Tuesday that the promo was too good to be true, confirming that it was a hoax after multiple people tweeted the chain, asking for confirmation.
