Anthony Weiner is a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives before a series of scandals brought down his career and began an FBI investigation into whether he was guilty of a sex crime.

He served in the House for 13 years before he was forced to resign because of lewd behavior in 2011. At the time of his resignation, he had been married to his wife Huma Abedin for a year and she was pregnant with their first child. Abedin is a top aide for Hillary Clinton.

In 2013, Weiner announced his intention to run for mayor of New York City. However, a celebrity news site revealed new sexual texts and photos from Wiener. He lost the race.

In August 2016, a new scandal emerged when Weiner reportedly sent a revealing photo of himself in boxers with his son laying next to him in bed. The New York Post said the images were sent to a woman he had been talking to since early 2015.

Just after the scandal broke, Abedin said she would separate with him.
