A Canadian high school basketball star has been arrested after customs agents found out he wasn't the age he claimed to be.

Customs agents say Jonathan Nicola isn't a 17-year-old kid like Catholic Central High School officials thought, but is a 30-year-old man. Nicola attended the school as a Grade 11 student and was a star on the Catholic Central Comets basketball team.

Nicola helped the team win many games, but those wins may now be in question.

The South Sudanese native was there on a student visa -- living with the basketball coach -- until customs found out and stopped the apparent fraud.

For now, Nicola is being detained for allegedly contravening the Immigration Refugee Protection Act, according to the Windsor Star. He has another hearing next week.
