A routine traffic stop turned into a baby delivery service for some Seattle police officers over the weekend.
When Seattle police pulled over a speeding car running red lights on Martin Luther King Way early Sunday morning, the driver jumped out of the car and shouted his wife was in labor.
Officers called an ambulance, but the baby beat the medics to the scene.
In the dash camera video, the baby girl's full-throated cry can be heard after other officers arrived in the area to help.
The young girl struggled to breath, and, Seattle Police Department reports an officer and the mother cleared the baby's airway.
A medical crew took the mother and daughter to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
“You have helped deliver a precious gift,” the family wrote to Seattle police. “We are so grateful.”
