This is one cost-effective way to celebrate a birthday.

HelloGiggles reported that one Redditor who goes by LincolnsLostSpeach had an interesting lineage to share about a 47-year-old birthday card.

"So over the past 47 years my fiance's uncle and his cousin have been passing the same card back and forth," the user posted.

It was bought for 25 cents in 1970.

The inside of the card reads, "Save this card. You can send it to me on my birthday."

The message in the card was taken to heart. It's been regifted 94 times between Bill and Steve.
