A train car derailed in northern Iowa Tuesday morning and slammed into a perhaps aptly named bar called DeRailed.
Charles City police said that a “train derailed into DeRailed” around 4 a.m. local time.
"It's not every day you get to say that," Chief Hugh Anderson told the Mason City Globe Gazette.
The bar was empty at the time and no injuries were reported.
Anderson told The Associated Press the accident happened as crews were moving rail cars and changing connections. The track apparently separated, causing a grain car to tip 45 degrees and hit the bar.
Lori Eckenrod, whose husband is one of the four co-owners of DeRailed, told the Globe Gazette the Canadian Pacific railroad car struck a metal shed used for storage. The bar's owners estimated the accident caused about $10,000 worth of damage.
Despite the damage, the bar was open for business later Tuesday.
