If this job applicant didn’t believe in karma before, he does now.

Matt Buckland, head of talent and recruiting for Forward Partners, recounted the awkward situation via Twitter. His post quickly went viral.

In subsequent posts, he says he mentioned the subway encounter to the job applicant and they laughed about it and went on with the interview.

In case you are wondering, no, the applicant did not get the job, but Buckland stressed it was not because of the subway incident but because the applicant was not the right fit.

Still, some people called out Buckland for mocking the job candidate on social media, saying it was a mistake anyone could make.
