Police say Shepherd grabbed a mirror, went out into the street, and used the mirror to reflect sunlight into his neighbor's home.

A short time later, the unidentified neighbor confronted Shepherd and an argument ensued.

Instead of apologizing or just walking away, Shepherd decided to escalate the situation.

Police say he grabbed an object resembling an ice pick, and began chasing his neighbor.  During the chase, he's accused of threatening to stab his neighbor.

Officers arrived at the scene and took Shepherd into custody on a count of assault with a deadly weapon.
