The family was driving in a heavily wooded area when the tree came crashing down.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said, “the vehicle sustained significant damage to the roof, windshield, and to a cargo box that was mounted on the roof.”
“The couple in the front seat of the vehicle were uninjured, as were their 1 and two-year-old children who were in the back seat,” the RCMP continued.
The father driving the car kept his sense of humor as he talked to The Calgary Herald, "it happened and there's not much you can do about it."
“But it's just funny, for us it's just funny. It's going to be a joke for years,” he surmised.
Cops in Prince Edward Island say the beaver gnawed through the base of several trees in the area, causing one to topple.
Workers will take down the other damaged trees before someone else finds timber in their trunk.
Showing they know a good quip when they see one, the RCMP finished their statement by adding, “the beaver is still at large.”
