Passersby quickly called police when they discovered the brains on a roadway near the tracks.
Police believe the brains were professionally removed and preserved, and don’t suspect criminal activity.
A Fox News report says a check by a veterinarian determined the brains came from sheep, or dogs. It's thought they were being donated for use by researchers.
Just last year the University of Texas reported nearly 50 human brains stored there were missing. The school later discovered they had been destroyed at an earlier date.
