The World Wildlife Fund may be helping feed your nightmares.  That's because they've announced a new species of wasp that turns its prey of cockroach into a zombie.  If that's not bad enough, it eats the roaches while they're alive.

The wasps were actually found in 2014 in the Greater Mekong Region that encompasses Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, the WWF reported.

The wasp is called the Ampulex Dementor and if the name sounds somewhat familiar to Harry Potter fans, it should be.  It is named after the book and movie series terrifying characters, the soul-sucking Dementors.

According to the WWF, the creature hunts cockroaches, and injects venom into its prey's belly that turns the roach into a zombie.  The roach can still move, but can't direct its body.  The wasp then drags the roach by its antennae into its shelter to feast.

The wasp was named by visitors to Berlin’s natural history museum.
