Great Falls Police said a call came in at 7:28 p.m. from a concerned neighbor who heard the screams.

Seven officers were given directions to the home by another caller.

GFPD Sgt. Brian McGraw said the officers surrounded the house in response to reports about a gun.

"We had a whole bunch of guys on that one," he said.

But the family was simply enjoying the midseason premiere of AMC's "The Walking Dead."

Officers saw two adults and several children in the home and heard "loud talking" inside the home.

It is not known how old the children are.

The enthusiastic screams were probably heard because two windows were open next to the TV.

A reaction from the family has not been reported.
