This cat wasn't "kitten around," the Huffington Post reports.
A man in Stamford, Conn., said he had to call 911 after he was stranded outside his home for three hours as a result of a standoff with his cat.
“I was inside and she attacked me and she started scratching my leg and biting me. So me and my wife went outside and now we cannot go in for like three, four hours,” Lokman said to the 911 operator. “We cannot move. We cannot do anything. It’s so aggressive and so mad,” Lokman said.
On the 911 tape, the operator can be heard saying, "You said this was a cat?"
According to police, the cat was a female and had just given birth roughly 24 hours prior to the incident. Maternal aggression is common in mother cats who are overprotective of their kittens.
Fortunately, officers were able to calm the animal and Lokman said to CBS New York he and his wife were eventually able to get back inside the house.
The man and his wife made amends with the cat.
