A two-and-a-half foot long lizard was found wandering through a Massachusetts town.
The Savannah Monitor lizard was discovered on Wednesday, according to the Massachusetts Environmental Police Facebook page.

The lizard was turned over to officers, who transported it to a reptile care and rehabilitation official.
The possession of Savannah Monitors is illegal in Massachusetts.
