According to WMAR, Jeff and Jody Brooks moved into their new Annapolis home with their two young children when they found that the home was already occupied by black rat snakes, one of the most abundant snakes in Maryland.

So far the family has found eight slithery creatures with the help of an exterminator.  But the bad news is they had to pull down all of the homes ceilings to get to the nest.

So far, WMAR reported, they've had to spend about $60,000 to fix the problem and they're considering a lawsuit against the former owner and the real estate agent who sold the house.
