Watkinsville police capture, kill rattlesnake

A venomous rattlesnake was found in an Oconee County woman’s apartment.

According to the Athens Banner-Herald, the police chief in Watkinsville thinks the 2-foot snake slithered inside the woman’s apartment from Harris Shoals Park, which is adjacent to the complex. When the woman called 911, she was hysterical, the newspaper reported.
