A truck driver was arrested on a DUI charge following a fiery crash that snarled traffic on the Perimeter for more than two hours Tuesday afternoon, Dunwoody police said.

The wreck occurred in the westbound lanes of I-285 at Chamblee Dunwoody Road about 2:15 p.m., according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center. It involved a tractor-trailer and a car-carrier that collided in the left lanes of the outer loop before both trucks slammed into the median wall and caught fire.

No injuries were reported, but the driver of the tractor-trailer, 41-year-old Jeremy Michael Crouch, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of drugs, improper lane usage and reckless driving, Dunwoody police spokesman Sgt. Robert Parsons said.

On Friday, Dunwoody police released video of the crash that was captured by a third driver and turned over to investigators. The footage appears to show Crouch, who was in the second-from-left lane, swerve to the right and slam into the car-carrier next to him.

The Villa Rica man was booked into the DeKalb County Jail and released the following day after posting bond, online records show.
