Following the holiday weekend, things are looking hot and sunny in Metro Atlanta.

Sunday sunshine: Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz reported mostly sunny skies Sunday with a high in the upper-80s.

Looking ahead:Atlantans returning to work after the long weekend can expect dry and sunny weather through the beginning of next week. Nitz predicts temperatures topping in the upper 80s to lower 90s for Monday and Tuesday, mostly sunny skies and lows only reaching 70.

The National Weather Service predicts a low chance of rain and storms beginning Wednesday and continuing on through Saturday
