Video released of Buckhead McDonald’s robbed at gunpoint

Sept 29, 2014

Atlanta police on Monday released a surveillance video of two masked gunmen robbing a Buckhead McDonald’s Sunday night.

Witnesses said they were told to “hit the ground” as the two gunmen entered the restaurant at Wieuca and Roswell roads, Channel 2 Action News reported. No injuries were reported.

Customer William Miller told Channel 2 he dropped to the ground after he saw the first man walk in with a rifle.

“A second guy came in right behind him with a large rifle at his shoulder, pointing it and I knew it was an armed robbery then,” Miller said.

Miller says while he hid, he called his son in the parking lot to warn him about the holdup.

The men took more than $1,400, police said.

Anyone with information on the robbery should call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477), go online to www.crimestoppersatlanta.org or text CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637). Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspects.
