The Johns Creek Veterans Association is hosting its inaugural Memorial Day Picnic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Newtown Park. Food and drinks will be available on the Park Place patio while supplies last.

Visitors will be able to walk the pathway where the Memorial Walk will be laid out later this summer. Picnickers will be able to see samples and order Memorial Walk pavers engraved with the name of family or friends who served, years of service, and the emblem of their branch of service or just a patriotic message.
