UPDATE: Sammie Ramey has returned home and is in good health, the Bartow Sheriff's Office reported at 4:18 p.m. Wednesday.

ORIGINAL REPORT: The Bartow County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations have issued a Mattie's Call Alert for a missing Cartersville man.

Sammie Ramey, 78, was last seen after dropping his son off at Kennesaw State University just after 4 a.m. Wednesday morning. Ramey is described as a black male, 5’11” tall, 149lbs, brown eyes and gray hair. He was last wearing a long sleeve gray button up shirt, blue jeans with holes at the knees, and a red jacket.

Ramey was driving a 2014 white Dodge Journey, with Georgia handicapped license plate TBQ024.

Ramey has early stages of Alzheimer’s and is easily agitated and confused.

Anyone who sees him or his vehicle is asked to call the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office 911 Center at 770-387-5195.
