Two lanes of I-85 inside the Perimeter will be closed in both directions this weekend so that road crews can remove an overhead sign near the new interchange ramp to Ga. 400.

Between 9 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, the HOV and immediately adjacent lane will be closed in both directions between Ga. 400 and North Druid Hills Road. In addition, just the HOV lane in both directions will remain closed until 5 a.m. Tuesday.

At all times, a minimum of three lanes will be open to traffic.

The road work is likely to cause delays for motorists traveling downtown for Atlanta Braves games Friday, Saturday and Sunday night or to the Atlanta Hawks matchup with the Miami Heat on Saturday night. The Georgia Department of Transportation urges drivers to find alternate routes if possible.
