A wreck that killed four people on I-75 South in Henry County on Thursday morning involved just one vehicle, authorities said.

The crash happened about 11:30 a.m. at Bill Gardner Parkway (Exit 212). Three men and one woman, all from Barnesville, were traveling southbound in a Chevrolet Trailblazer, Henry County police Capt. Randy Lee said.

The victims have been identified as Charlie Lee Avery, 70; Lillie Avery, 70; Levi Brooks, 58; and Nathaniel Elliott, 60.

The driver appears to have lost control and the vehicle left the interstate, flipping several times.

The wreck closed all but one lane for several hours as authorities investigated the crash. The scene was cleared and all lanes were reopened just after 2 p.m.
