One person was taken to a hospital in Henry County as the result of two crashes that happened within a mile of each other on I-75.

Henry County police were called to investigate the two wrecks, both of which happened on I-75 at I-675 Wednesday afternoon.

One of the wrecks involved two jackknifed tractor-trailers, according to Henry police spokesman Randy Lee. The other, which police were investigating about the same time, involved two passenger cars.

The causes of the wrecks are not clear.

All southbound lanes of I-75 were closed at I-675 due to the wreck. The interstate was reopened shortly before 3 p.m., according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.
