Expect heavy traffic in Midtown Atlanta as the Shaky Knees Festival kicks off at 11:30 a.m. in Atlanta’s Central Park on Friday and lasts through the weekend.

Festival-goers should enjoy sunny skies and warm temperatures tomorrow and through the end of the festival. Friday's forecast calls for a low of 61 degrees and a high of 84 degrees in metro Atlanta, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologists.

If the temperature reaches 84 degrees tomorrow, it will be the warmest in about seven months, Channel 2 reports. There is no chance of rain in the metro area until Saturday, which has a 20 percent chance of scattered showers at night, starting around 11 p.m.

The station reported a high of 83 degrees on Thursday, and the evening should drop steadily to 77 degrees by 9 p.m. and 73 degrees by 11 p.m. The low is 61 degrees.

Traffic delays are possible overnight in Southwest Fulton County with construction expected to begin at 10 p.m.

State transportation crews will work on Camp Creek Parkway SW between Fulton Industrial Boulevard and the Douglas County line. Until 5 a.m., one right lane and the right shoulder will be closed in both northbound and southbound directions.

The weeknight work will continue through May 11.
