Police are investigating a crash that killed an 81-year-old pedestrian in Cobb County.

Qinxian Fu, 81, of Marietta, was killed when she stepped into the path of a minivan heading west on Lower Roswell Road just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Cobb police Sgt. Dana Pierce said. The accident with a 2007 Honda Odyssey happened just west of Pioneer Trail.

The driver, 41-year-old Vevodova Ladislava of Acworth, was not injured, police said. The driver stopped after the crash.

Fu was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Pierce said.
