One person was injured Thursday in a crash that temporarily blocked southbound lanes of I-85 in Gwinnett County.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident south of Jimmy Carter Boulevard, Gwinnett fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge said. One of them overturned. Trip times from Ga. 316 to I-285 were nearly an hour long at one point Thursday morning while crews worked to clear the scene.

Lanes have reopened and delays have thinned.

The injured driver was evaluated by paramedics on the scene and released, Rutledge said.

There were no other injuries.
